I’m delighted to share that I am starting a new collaboration with Cherishers, a fantastic charity dedicated to providing care and support to those who need it most. Their work is truly inspiring, and I feel privileged to be joining forces with them.
I first met Alec and Julie from Cherishers at the SW Business Awards, where we had a great conversation about the challenges and opportunities in the care sector. Following our initial meeting, I visited their office in Rugeley at the end of March to explore ways we could work together and support each other’s work. It quickly became clear that we share the same passion for improving care services and ensuring that people receive the right support at the right time.
With my many years of experience in the care sector, I will be supporting Cherishers in several key areas, including direct payments, CQC auditing, and business development. My role will involve advising on best practices, helping them navigate the complexities of care funding, and supporting their ongoing development to ensure they can continue to grow and provide excellent services.
I have already begun working with a client referred to me by Cherishers, assisting them in securing CHC funding and applying for attendance allowance. These processes can often be complex and overwhelming, so I am pleased to be able to offer my expertise to help individuals access the support they are entitled to. This is just the start, and I am excited to see how our collaboration can benefit even more people in the future.
Beyond providing direct support, I also hope to introduce Cherishers to some of my Swindon-based clients, helping to create new opportunities for collaboration and growth. What truly sets Cherishers apart is their commitment to not just providing care, but also giving people second chances and opportunities. Their dedication to making a meaningful difference is something I deeply admire, and I am thrilled to be working alongside them.
